International Women’s Day – Celebrating the PEP Advisory Board

At PEP we don’t need a holiday as a reason to recognize the amazing women in our lives, but we love to celebrate – so let the good times roll! We’ll go first!

As a company and brand designed for women, we are fortunate to be dedicated to supporting, celebrating, and empowering women every day of the year.

We love that the ladies of PEP bring their authentic selves to the courts.  Together we make up a community that welcomes new friends to the game, empowers elite players, builds meaningful relationships, and encourages a healthy lifestyle.  We recognize that PEP ladies come to us from many seasons of life, and we aim to meet you where you are and have fun in the process.  We don’t all look or play the same, but our differences are complementary and propel the whole PEP tribe forward.

When you are getting ready to raise a glass and toast your favorite ladies for International Women’s Day, let’s get real for a moment.

Sometimes we read some impressive bios of accomplished ladies and look on with a sense of admiration, envy, or even disappointment that makes us question what is keeping us from achieving the same.  We’d like to encourage you to reflect on the idea that behind so many amazing women, you are likely to find a foundational support system in her corner.  This doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough to go it alone.

On the contrary, it means you are confident enough to own your dream, but wise enough to know that you don’t have to carry the weight of it singlehandedly.  You are humble enough to seek help where you don’t know the answer, but bold enough to speak your truth. You are resilient enough to know that you will be met obstacles on your journey, but they don’t mean the end of the road.

As an entrepreneur and female founder of PEP Pickleball, Jill Christiansen embraces these truths and has pulled together a rockstar group of ladies to join her on her advisory board.  They recently gathered for their first official meeting, and the energy was off the charts.  We are filled with gratitude for these women for supporting the dream and having fun in the process.

In the spirit of fun and keeping with the mission that women are to be celebrated more than once a year, we’re going to go ahead and start introducing you to some of the awesome women behind the scenes in subsequent posts. Stay tuned, you’ll be glad you did – we promise!
