A wise woman once said, “Pickle, what?”  Ladies, we hear you!  It’s no fun to be late to the party, but don’t sweat it, PEP has your back! You can go from perplexed to pro in no time!

In the name of informative fun, let’s talk basics, while highlighting three common responses to not knowing what someone is talking about.

Are you making this up? Seriously, what is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a paddle sport where players volley a perforated plastic ball (think wiffle ball).  It can be played indoors or outdoors on a hard-surface court.  It can be described as a unique combination of tennis, badminton, and ping pong.

I think my grandparents might play. You are suggesting Pickleball is for me?

You heard right!  While pickleball can be a lifetime sport enjoyed by a variety of age groups, the pace and level of play can vary widely.  This creates a flexible game that can be enjoyed at a slower more social speed or a competitive heart-pumping pace!
